Pink red undertones give this warm, muted aubergine color a rich complexity that adds a contemporary aspect to the palette. This color was used by Robert Adam in the 18th century after visiting Pompeii, as well the Charleston artists. When mixed with Old White this color produces beautiful, sophisticated lilac tones.
